C.T. BLADE OVERHAUL & ‘STRETCH’ INSPECTION

  • P&WC SB NO. ??03 (various PT6A engine model applications)
  • “Operating Time Between Overhauls & Hot Section Inspection Frequency”
  • Some CT Blades require scheduled ‘Overhaul and Stretch Inspection’

C.T. DISC HISTORY

  • History of all "lifed rotative" parts must be accurately maintained and monitored
  • PT6 discs are etched with current accumulated history details (hours and cycles) at each heavy work-shop visit

BLADED DISC BALANCING

  • All blades are individually weighed before installation to disc
  • Blades are evenly distributed around a disc opposed by an equal weight blade
  • Trim cut (ground) disc assemblys are balanced to reduce vibration
  • Special balance weights are retained on disc by rivets
